Your login avatar is your face in a digital world. It’s who you want to be. It’s how you want people to see you.
One project was to create a series of login avatars for a streaming entertainment service. Thoroughly enjoyed but never implemented; you can see here a sample of the development of a few of these characters. See their development from silly illustrations to defined personalities.
To promote an upcoming marathon of Saved By The Bell episodes, we chose to do so using a series of social cards.
The style direction was to combine flat design with the 90's nostalgia of the show, using the lyrics from the show's theme as the inspiration.
MTV.ca Core was a loyalty program for avid fans. Shows would have a collection of badges a viewer could earn by watching episodes online.
The viewer had their own trophy wall where they could proudly display their fandom and expertise in each show. Shown here are a few of the badges I was tasked with creating. Each posing the challenge of conveying abstract ideas related to the show in a unique and fun manner (and without using any pics directly from the show!)

All eyes are focused on social media which means that’s where the audience is most likely to see your message. Here is where you see the reshaping and recontextualizing of key art for a very specific purpose.
There are moments where a brand must play a supporting role and sit in the background. For those times it must be strong enough to be recognizable but not steal the focus from the main event.
